We now enter a NEW Phase of Monsterya™.

The Massive sounding 2 Piece Rock band is now Skylar on Guitar / Bass / Vocals & Gideon on the drums. 

Originally, it started at a middle school talent show when former guitarist Lily & bassist / lead singer Skylar got together to win a first place prize for their Radkey-inspired cover of the "Teen Titans theme song". 

Their punk-rock spirit encouraged their school to invite them to bring some hype to their upcoming 8th grade dance with their LIVE BAND energy. The two accepted the invitation & were on the search for a drummer, which is when a musical cast mate of Skylar's, Olyssa, reached out; completing the first official lineup of the band.

With influences like Metallica, Green Day, Bikini Kill & Olivia Rodrigo, the three girls began spreading their energetic sound around COMO. After a few small venues had been rocked, Mönsterya began gaining traction.

This line-up didn't stick due to differing musical goals. In stepped CJ to fill in on the guitar for their bigger festival gigs. Festivals include CCUA's 15th annual Harvest Hootenanny & Ozark Mountain Biscuits & Bar's 2024 Biscuits, Beats & Brews, RadFest.

Tommy, a friend of CJ's joined the band as their drummer for a good year. Together they played their first out of state gig in West Point Iowa for the Sweet Corn Festival, later on headlining shows at Rose Music Hall.

Unfortunately, CJ & Tommy have now chosen different paths. These 3 had a lot of fun & always killed it at shows.  We wish them the best!
